Barbara Bednarz is a licensed Brain Gym® Instructor/Consultant with twelve years of experience. She is also a trainee in Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT). Both modalities capitalize on the brain/body connection through movements and processes which activate and link up different parts of the brain and access unused neural pathways. ALL ages can benefit.

Based on over one hundred years of brain research and physiology, both modalities are used world-wide to improve cognitive functioning, memory, vision, hearing, coordination, balance, concentration and organization. They also release stress and learning blocks which prevent learning or achievement, most notably with challenges like learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and autism.

Barbara taught high-school for thirty years and noticed profound shifts in her students' academics and functioning when they used Brain Gym® daily. This motivated her to create her business, the Move Smart Center, where she both teaches Brain Gym® and sees clients for individual consultations. She also travels throughout the greater Chicagoland area and the Midwest teaching Brain Gym® to educators, administrators, counselors, parents, therapists, health-care professionals, social workers, business people and others. Currently Barbara is working on becoming a licensed RMT provider/instructor.
